5/23/2023 0 Comments The doll factory summary![]() ![]() That is about as 'high' of a recommendation as I can give. This is definitely a movie where several beers and a few good friends would really help. And, what was up with that WTF moment in that scene towards the end when the sheriff is giving a pep talk to the old black guy.? I went back several times and I could not tell WHAT the hell happened there. Watch for when the boyfriend is miming behind his girlfriend as to what they are going to be doing later on. There are some snippets here and there that are really funny. Even though this is just about as low, low budget as you can possibly get, at least you can tell that they are indeed having some fun with this one. And FWIW, there are many, MANY others that are far worse, horribly done, poorly acted, truly insulting, and boring. But, I am a complete sucker for killer doll/puppet/toys films. This is NOT one of your 'PUPPET MASTER' movies. And yes, it was most definitely played for laughs. it was kind of funny and the writers were moderately clever (make sure you notice the license plates on the police car) Very, VERY silly! I mean, really silly. Okay, a '6' is being EXTREMELY generous here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Even in the queer community, though we hate to be oversexualized by the straights, we often sexualize ourselves and each other. I had difficulties connecting with these protagonists, and where the story was heading. I have no doubt that a lot of romance readers will enjoy this book and be enamoured with Daphne and Emerson, but I found that it just wasn’t my cup of tea. Her minor appearances made quite an impact that I wanted to know her story. Daphne Moretti was a secondary character in Wilde’s Beauty and the Beast trilogy that centred around Daphne’s closest older brother Leo. I was initially intrigued by the premise, but to be honest after having read it, it wasn’t what I was expecting. □ If you like dark contemporary reads with a stalker romance trope, oh man, is this the book for you! But this is the world of the Midnight Dynasty where anything and everything is possible- and where crazy, obsessed stalkers are swooned upon. That’s what any rational young woman would be saying if this was any other story… or better yet, if this was reality. She’ll be the perfect addition to his collection. It doesn’t matter that she’s a living, breathing person with her own hopes and dreams. Innocent Daphne Morelli is more exquisite than anything he’s ever seen. He only ventures out in pursuit of new art for his collection. ![]() Emerson LeBlanc doesn’t enter society much. ![]() ![]() ![]() Many years ago, when the People traveled the Plains, a young Indian boy had a Dream-Vision in which it was revealed that one day he would create a painting that was as pure as the colors of the evening sky at sunset. ![]() ![]() How this striking plant received its name is told in an old Indian legend. These amazing books by Kerstin Gier tell the story of Gwendolyn Shepard a sixteen year old girl that can travel in time, but since it was suppose to be her cousin who had this ability Gwen is completly lost in some new dangerous adventures with the most arrogant, conceited, sweet, kind and handsome partner in time Gideon de Villiers, whom I simply ADORE!!! ![]() I came across this books cause I watched the first movie and after that I realised it was a book, which I bought like the day after, because I just coludn’t wait to know what happen next. Jasper Fforde's exuberant return to the fantastical BookWorld opens during a time of great unrest. ![]() The sixth installment of the New York Times bestselling Thursday Next series-from the author of The Constant Rabbit ![]() ![]() Drawing in part on interviews with elderly African-American banjo players from the Piedmont-among the last American representatives of an African banjo-playing tradition that spans several centuries-Conway reaches beyond the written records to reveal the similarity of pre-blues black banjo lyric patterns, improvisational playing styles, and the accompanying singing and dance movements to traditional West African music performances. Like many aspects of the African-American tradition, the influence of black banjo music has been largely unrecorded and nearly forgotten-until now. ![]() ![]() In this groundbreaking study, however, Cecelia Conway demonstrates that these European Americans borrowed the banjo from African Americans and adapted it to their own musical culture. I love well made disaster movies and well made dinosaur movies. ![]() Though I thought it fitting that during this Shark Week when commentators often made reference to or comparison between sharks & alligators and in light of the book's cover.that the title is very fitting. First of all this book in no way compares in greatest nor is it about a shark. But out of respect for that great bestselling novel, hair raising soundtrack, and Academy Award winning movie I deliberately used small letters. I can't think of a more apropos title, than the iconic one used by Peter Benchley. ![]() |
